Messo Privacy Policy
Messo ("we", "us") provides an AI-assisted SMS conversation platform for licensed insurance professionals, available via the web console at messochat.com and the Messo mobile application. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and team/tenant membership, used to create and secure your operator account. Login is passwordless: we email a one-time code; we never store passwords.
- Conversation data — SMS messages between your business and your leads, lead contact details (name, phone number, and information leads share during a conversation), and AI-drafted replies. This data is processed on behalf of your business to provide the service.
- Device and usage data — device push-notification tokens (if you enable notifications), and standard technical logs (IP address, timestamps, request metadata) used for security and reliability.
How we use information
- To operate the service: display conversations, draft AI replies for your approval, schedule appointments, and send the messages you approve.
- To send you push notifications about replies awaiting your approval (only if you opt in on your device).
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations, including SMS compliance rules (e.g., honoring STOP/opt-out requests and quiet hours).
AI processing
Conversation content is processed by large language models to draft suggested replies. Drafts are held for human review where approval mode is enabled. We do not use your conversation data to train third-party foundation models.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run the platform (cloud hosting, SMS delivery providers your business connects, push-notification delivery, and email delivery for login codes), each bound to use it solely to provide their service, and where required by law.
Retention & security
Data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted per tenant with row-level security.
Your choices
- You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
- Leads can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP; opt-outs are honored automatically.
- To access, correct, or delete personal information, or to close your account, contact us at the address below.
Children
Messo is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced in the product.
